can k04's be directly bolted on without manifold upgrades piping etc...??

Yep, you can bolt up k04's on any 2.7L engine, but its not so easy to get to the turbos.

You need the hardware kit for the K04's to match up, its not a direct match to the K03's yet its close and the extra hardware aint nothing to sweat.

You need inlet pipes, & a hardware kit. If you don't use the RS4 inlet pipes, the compressor will not match up to the pipes.
They bolt right up to the downpipes.

My K03s just went out at 65k. I want to replace them with the K04s, I can get a hold of the turbos fine but I am having trouble finding a place that sells the inlet pipes. Can anyone help me find a place that sells them and is not backordered on the part?

Dang that sucks! They already went out at 65k. I feel bad for ya man, but atleast you get to upgrade now!
