K04 Questions

I few weeks ago one of my K03s went out at 65k. Anyway I will be replacing them with RS4 K04s. I am under the impression that the only parts I need are the turbos themselves, the RS4 inlet pipes to the turbos and gaskets for the turbos. Are only new inlet pipes suffecient or do I need to get all RS4 intake components?

Also is there any other work I should get done while the engine is out? I am currently planning on replacing the timing belt, clutch, accessory belt, water pump, thermostat and motor mounts.

i'm in a very similar situation and was planning on doing the same work while the car is apart (timing belt, clutch, water pump, etc.)

where are you getting your turbos from?

Yes, all you "need" is...
1. L & R K04's
2. RS4 Inlet Pipes
3. RS4 K04 hardware

That's it! You should also have....
1. Downpipes or Piggies
2. exhaust
3. GOOD DV's
4. GIAC X or some other chip made for K04's with stock MAF & injectors
5. New clutch
6. Snub mount or trans brace

So in the big picture it's more then the $3000 for the K04 "kit"
