Default k04 right for my s?

so i am about ready to complete my s4 throwing on the rs front bumper this weekend painting it and registering, my question is it has 115,000 miles on it. I really wanna start upgrading it and already have an apr exhaust on the way, the question is does my engine have too many miles on it for k04s? i really wanna upgrade to them and have the available founds im just curious if my engine is too worn for it?

I put my k04's on at 122,xxx. Other have done the same with about the same or more. The only time you haev to work about engine work is if you are going high torque like some of the rs6 kits, and GT kits.
just change all the seals and gaskets while the engine is out, and of course the clutch/FW and you need fueling too. can't forget to check the mounts to see if they are still good.

Timing belt should be hit about every 60k because that WILL ruin your motor. Definitly spend the $500 on parts and do it when you put turbos on. Otherwise just like sweed said gaskets and seals are important, if your getting fueling youll want a clutch (LW flywheel is fun too). If your going above 500WHP you should be building the motor but the beauty of k04's is that they bolt right on, dont require building the bottom end, and still have potential for over 400whp with custom tuning, water/meth etc

You really don't need to worry about the 2.7, most people will tell you that it is basically a bomb-proof engine. As long as it's taken care of, it will prolly outlast most other components of the drive train.

Where did you get the rs front bumper? Off the net or around at a dealer or something?
