Default K04's

Hey people, I'm kinda new to audi's and was wondering what the K04 turbo is? Is ia an oem Audi turbo from another car? Where do I get them and do I get them new? Will I have to do any mods to my 2001.5 S4 to mank the K04 work on it? Will it give more power? And last of all, What do they cost for all that I'll be needing?

Thanks, Jimmy

K04s are a bigger and better turbo from i belive the TT. http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/shar...train&IL=rsk04
U can replace them and do nothing else for a replacment for the K03s (like whee they blow). Not sure what u would have for power by just doing that thou.

The full system will bring you up to 440/ HP. You're looking at $8,000. Also keep in mind the engine has to be pulled and the labor is very high to have this done also, ($3,000-5,000) depending on who you have do it. And no, you really don't need to mod' anything else. I would however suggest bigger/better brakes. I am lucky enough to live about twenty minutes away from AWE headquarters. I harass them regularly. Unbelievably great guys with unlimited knowledge of German vehicles.

NO..... TT only (i believe) has a single turbo with a 1.8L..... Rs4 is a upgrade from the S4.... I don't even think they make a twin turbo TT... kinda pointless having a twin turbo 4 cyclinder dont ya think? cause i don't think they have anything bigger than a 4 cyclinder... i could be wrong but im pretty confendent....

R u trying to say that u can only have a K04 as a twin turbo. Cause thats wrong. Ppl put K04s in 1.8Ts a ton. I know that the K04 is out of the RS4. But im not sure is there is an option for it in the TT.

most tt's are 1.8T's single turbo, but there are 6 cyliner TT's (3.2L) as well. there are no twin turbo TT's. Twin turbos on a 4cylinder would be weird, ive never heard of/ seen one. The KO4 is the stock turbo from the RS4 (2 KO4's)
