KO4 or RS6
he's right it shouldn't break the rods but you're gambling at 28psi it has to be an occasional spirt
the more i think about it, the more I think RS6 turbos are the way to go if you dont plan on upgrading internals and just running 21-22 psi at all times. However it would be stupid in my opinion if you get RS6s and then down the road want to upgrade rods to run at high boost. thats just a waste of money to have to have the engine pulled a second time. Might as well get it done all at once and save some cash. I agree that running them at low boost would be comparible to a normal K04 tune but less stress on the RS6s which I think is the way to go so they will last longer. It makes perfect sense. Anytime you can achieve a crap ton of hp without putting alot of stress on the turbos is definitely a good thing.
yeah, im planning on having the car down for about 2 weeks with my projected build, which includes installing a new octopus pcv system, new engine/trans mounts, port and polish intake manifold, port exhaust manifolds, install bigger better smic's, stage 4 ceramic clutch and rs4 pressure plate and apr bipipe. i also have to weld the flanges on the dp's to fit the rs6's.. but i dont want to have to wait longer to install rods and 2.8 heads or build my 2.7 heads.. and honestly.. 430 to 470 whp will be plenty for me to enjoy.. i may do a gt kit later but id buy a used engine, set it up in the garage and take my time, and build it right, ya know??
i just love driving my s4 too much to have it down that long...

;-) .. good deal buddy..did you see that motor mount on my last post on "my rs6 build'?? i heard a cracklin.. but jesus christ..
And Skatemrica155, I thought you said in the other thread that you already have KO4's, a custom tune, tubular manis, and dynoed 415whp on Cobb's dyno?? I'm a little confused.
