Not gonna find 93 in Cali, but there are a couple of stations you might find 100 octane racing fuel, but its not worth the money for daily driving.

Best we get here in Cali is 91, my car is GIAC chipped, and I have no problems running 91.

By the way, 93 isn't race gas, its normal premium in most other states.

stay away from boosters, that's a quick way to gum up your valves.

Go to a paint shop and get some toulene, or pure acetone.....there are calculators on the internet to find out how much you need per gallon of gas for what octane you want.

Or, every time you fill up, go to your nearest municipal airport and get two gallons of av-gas, it usually has a 116 octane rating. Put that in your tank, then fill up with 91. That will put you at around 96 octane. I keep a 2 gallon can of avgas in my garage for special occasions.

Thats a really good idea, how much does it usually cost you /gallon for the av fuel?

it can be anywhere from $6-$10 depending on the size of the airport.

Your best bet is to find a small municipal airport, they usually don't charge too much. But its worth it even for the higher price if you are going to the track for the evening or something.

So you don't have to have a race program for the 116? Does a Race file change the ratios of fuel/air or if you couldinform meabout it I would appreciate it. I'm planning to buy the Race file from GIAC.
