The S4 is at a used car lot. It is the owner's personal car. All service was done at the local audi dealership. The warranty is aftermarket bumper to bumper no mileage restrictions, $50 deductible. $140 to transfer it. I like the idea of the tip. My last vehicle (integra GSR) was manual and all though it was fun to drive it really sucked in stop and go traffic. The auto tranny with a tipchip sounds like a nice compromise. From the research I have done there are a few companies that make parts for beefing up the auto tranny and torque converter if I ever decide to increase the HP. The only mods I would do in the near future would be a tipchip and coilovers. With the APR chip if I switched it to stock mode and used the lock out could the dealership tell there was a chip in it?

no if ur chip is in stock (apr) it wont be known unless they open teh ECU and they wont have a reason to. The GIAC flashloader just plugs in a port and u can switch teh programs around. And tehn u could remove it from the and the dealer would never know. Thats what im gonna use on my car even thou it wont have a warranty.

I have APR in my A4 and my dealer has no clue.
Get the flipswitch (its your cruise control) , and you can go back to stock.
If you dont wanna drive manual anymore, get the tip trans..but only if your done with clutch , cause if you're not , you will miss it.
