Hey guys,
I'm so excited!! There's a lot of stuff coming out from APR for the B7 S4's really soon. In mid-March they're releasing their cold-air-intake system/Carbonio system. Mid summer they are releasing their Supercharger. GMB has a beautiful carbon fiber hood for about $700. What do you guys think of all this stuff? I'm excited!!!

It all sounds cool. But as a Tip owner I am not sure I can use any of it, except maybe the hood, but I have no interest in that

 

I think the carbon fiber hood would look sweet! b sure to post pics if u get it, but i would go with the GIAC chip, i luv mine!!

 

What kind of gains did you actually get with the GIAC chip?

 

You guys are talking about two different cars. You can't ask about gains on a B5 when you own a B7. That being said, I purchased the GIAC chip for my B6 S4 and it is expensive for what you get. Not a whole lot of performance gain from the chip. Is it worth it? If you don't have it, you're gonna want it. Once you get it, you will probably say that you could have lived without it. Go figure. Now that I have it, it's one less thing to think about.

As for perfromance, great throttle response compared to before the upgrade. Rpm's climb a bit faster.... freeway driving is improved. As for power, can't feel much of an increase but I've only been able to drive the car for 2 days. Now it's back in the garage for several weeks until christmas vacation.
