Low mileage S4 worth premium price?
I'm looking at used S4's andwould like to know ifbuyingone with low miles is worth payinga premium price?I realize there are many variables thatcould lead to a yes or no answer.
Currently, my thoughts lean towards buying one with 8,000 to 18,000 miles. Overall my driving habits aretoput about 15000 miles on per year, andI typically change vehicles every 2-3 years.
Thanks for your help!

Are you talking a B5 S4? Or newer? If B5 would be hard to find at that milage. I've seen a couple with around like 25k miles and they were almost 20k. If it's a newer car I think the premium is going to be less because its more common to find them at that mileage. I think anything under 50k miles is pretty darn good.
I would think with a B7 it should be easy to find a low mileage one that isn't far off price from the others. Usually with newer cars thats how it works because they haven't been out long enough to really rack up the high miles.

Biggest issue on the B5 is turbo failure. Since you're looking at a V8, a little higher mileage shouldn't be a problem at all. I'd say, save the $$ and see if you can get one that has just come back from a lease (usually have ~30k miles). If you can get one of these, they usually also have a certified pre-owned audi warranty to 100k miles/3 years or so. I had the audi CPO warranty on my last B5 and it was pretty convenient. The dealer was pretty cool about it too. For example, the LCD on my instrument cluster had some very slight fading (definitely not enough to warrant a replacement
and the dealer replaced it, no questions asked. Dealers still get paid from AOA, so they're usually pretty cool about warranty work.
