Ever since i got my urs4 the oil light comes on all the time.
It says that the oil pressure is low.... I did change one of the Oil Pressure Senders thinking it would fix the problem but its not it. I was gonna change the oil pump but that itself is $465.... I called the audi dealer they said they never sold an oil pump and that it could be some wiring problem? anyone have any idea what it is?

 

First thing I would do is hook up a gauge and check the actually oil pressure to see if it is low. How many miles, what weigh oil are you running?

 

its got 220,000 mi, i use synthetic oil, thats what i was going to do the oil pressure and see what it is...

 

thats kinda alot of miles as your car gets old the crank and cam and rod bearing wear and there is more clearance in between the crack,cam and rods for oil to fill this gives you low oil presser or you may have a short to ground on the oil sensor. thats all i could think of right now good luck dude

 

i checked the oil pressure it was 32 psi...

 

at what engine speed. General rule of thumb is that you should have 1 PSI for every 100 RPM of engine speed, so at 1000 RPM, you should have AT LEAST 10 PSI, and at 6K RPM, you should have60 PSI.

 

ya my dad keeps having this problem with his allroad but ill check the oil psi.
