Default Might be a ridiculous question but...

Has anyone had any success in getting a road bike in the trunk of their S4 with the seats folded down? I am about to purchase an S4 and would like to avoid having to buy a roof rack or tow hitch if at all possible.

Thanks

I dont really have any problem getting my road bike into the back of my S4 but i have to fold the seats down. It gets a little tricky if you are trying to put more than one bike in there at a time. I have gotten two into the trunk at a time but its difficult to get them out. so you can fit 2 bikes in the back but its hard but one isnt hard at all. hope that answers your question. (my S4 is a B5) Good luck with the S4 they are amazing cars. Which model are you looking at?

Thanks guys. Sounds like I can just take the front wheel off and be fine. I am looking at a new shape 2005 model.

Odds of getting laid by having a Sedan versus an Avant are about triple!

how do you figure, you could get laid comfortably in the back of an avant, not sure I would say the same about the sedan... ha ha...

You can only fit one if your lucky or puzzle it in just right without the front wheel. I can only fit my road bike in mine,my Tri bike wont budge, butits my baby so I dont want to ruin that so I have only tried unsuccesfully once.

Get a Saris Bones Bike rack like I did for the back then you can carry a couple bikes with you!!!

Sonda- where you from - doubt your from the midwest but id love to ride with a fellow S4 owner that also rides.
