Tis the price we pay for having old cars.

If you had serious cash I would say - BORE and STROKE it up to 2.8 or 2.9 liters...!!! Then take it to VAST and have themputTWO 25/or/28's on there and make 500+ hp...
If you don't have the cash, just get k04's, and save up for fueling and the rest later...
Your custom single turbo talk just shows how little you really know about cars and motors, and no hard feelings with that comment, but it is the truth, and the truth sometimes is mean...
Shawn
Thanks...
We actually have the entire thing designed already.
BUT I have decided to just replace the K03's and sell the car. I don't have the money for this thing anymore. I will just get a little beater and possibly a bike for the summer. Then late summer I am planning on joining the Air Force so I wouldn't be around to drive it anyways.

what are you talking about there is lots of time in the air force to have time for car. I would just keep it and you the money from the military to do what ever you want. plus if you do go over seas you get really really nice pay and it is easy to build up the car.

What job do you want in the Air Force? I'm in and I'm security forces I dont reccomend that job at all you deploy all the time. I mean when you deploy the money is nice, I made 20k from my last one but I was also gone for 10 months, not worth it in my opinion. Well man good luck with your car, and the Airforce when you decide to join.
Thanks. I am not exactly sure what I will be doing yet but I am going to be talking to a recruiter this week hopefully.

Basically we would have put the turbo on the passenger side of the engine. It would go where the stock air box would be. THen we would run the exhaust piping around the back side of the engine from the drivers side then go into a Y pipe and connect with the passenger side exhaust then to the turbo. After that it would go back out and down the side out the back of the car.
The cold side would be really simple to do as well.
However since I have decided to sell the car I am not going to be building it. Maybe later down the read I will if I get another S4.

I'm not confined to the specs or spaceof an S4 engine bay, sense I'm building a chromoly tube frame.
IMO there are two reasons to why no one or at least the major majority of people don’t do single turbo on the S4.
- Oneis the ability because of how tight the engine bay is to have equal length exhaust manifold runners would be pretty much impossible without spending10+ grand and having someone use a CAD program and draft it all out... which is critically important when trying to pump MAX hp from your motor.
- Two is the lag you would induce because of waiting for that massive single turbo to spool.
SIDE NOTE -
The part that kills me is that you are bailing on the car, saying that it is too expensive, and you are just going to get a beater… sounds like your old folks are pushing you out of the car. haha… You just spent a ton of money on a stereo, a chip, whatever else miscellaneous crap you have bought and if you had not f’d with it, and put the stupid water/meth kit then you would have probably had a good car. Live and Learn…
