i have a 2001 s4 and i was wondering with the following mods....APR ECU, APR Exhaust, intake, b-pipe, DV's....how would i match up against a stock 2005 STi?

 

umm..id say itd be close prob a drivers race..but id prob give the edge to the sti..

 

still have to add a little fabric and plastic to the inside to really get the feel. hate to sound like "that guy", but this car is not about 1/4 mile or even track. you have more power and handling combo than the average schmoe on the block. they either have lux or pwr/handling. not both. don't sweat it when the sti crowd says you're slow, you got taste.

 

agreed with both sooks and cheeese... i'd say the sti might have a bit more oomph to beat you in the end, but the s4 is the best overall car, so in essence you win at life!!

 

haha yes, i see what you are all saying. makes sense. s4 definitley has more style and such to it then the sti.

 

why you Dissing my baby(Subaru).. lol its all good guys... we are all Enthusiasts...

 

i don't think any of us are dissing subarus. but you have to expect us to have a biased opinion. the sti is a great car, IMHO. i would just choose the s4 over it, for an all purpose car

 

I saw a Tip S4 hang almost dead even with the same mods against a stock STI. I would think with the closer ratios of a 6-speed and a nicer launch that you could nudge out an STI easily.

 

i dont know man.. you really need to be 2+ to hang... then its one or the other.. i mean..stock theyre 4.8

 

true plus sometimes its a driver's race... because it also has to do with the Ratios on the 6 speed since after all, they are both 6SP.
