Hello everyone. I currently own a 2001 M3CIC which I've modded a little, and only cosmetically. My lease is up next year, and I'm currently leaning towards an S4 Cabriolet or sedan (or RS4, if available) as my next ride. I have a couple questions:

1) Can you direct me to some pics of S4's or A4's that have been dropped with 19" wheels. Also some examples of aero mods would be helpful.
2) Can the cabriolet be ordered in Imola Yellow
3) How is the stock or upgraded sound system. I had to add a 500w subwoofer to the upgraded Harmon Kardon system on my M to be satisfied?

Any info will be appreciated.

Good choices both. I almost got an M3, then Audi seduced me. Actually, its interior made the M3 look rather pathetic.

Ouch! Dropped, as in lowered?! 19" wheels?

No. However, if you pay Audi an extra $2500 or so, they'll paint it whatever colour you want. (A custom painted S4 cabrio in Blue was waiting its new owner at the shop when I picked mine up)

You know, you're worrying me. Another distinguishing point between Audi owners and BMW owners is that we have taste! (Lowered yellow cabrio with 19" wheels? Would you like flames painted on the wheel arches with that?!)

Nothing like trying it out for yourself. I'm very satisfied with the optional BOSE system I got on mine, but then again I listen to 80s pop and 70s rock. Rap-fans and others who like stupid amounts of base that can be heard in the next zip code may not be satisfied. I couldn't tell you.

Interesting response. Not very helpful, but interesting. I asked about lowered w/19's because I actually got a brief glimpse of a sedan with that set-up on the highway yesterday, but I wanted a better look at one. As far as Imola Yellow, it's available on the sedan, so why would it be distasteful on a cabrio? And please, do not fear 19" wheels, there are many tasteful, even subtle options out there. By the way, I'm not looking for stupid amounts of base, but at least an adequate amount for my taste, regardless of the music genre. And I'll pass on the flames, as it seems I'm already getting enough of that from the forum

 

Can't help on the pictures...I'm running stock wheels and ride height. It seems like allot of guys at Audizine are running 19s so you might check them out...I think SBGirl has some pics posted there...nice ride.

Check audi.com for imola yellow cab availability...I have never seen one, and I'm thinking it is not offered.

The upgraded bose is not bad....but it is nothing special. It works for me, cause I just want a nice even reproduction of sound. Unfortunately it is one of those things that is so subjective, you really have to listen to it, everyone will want something different.

 

If you get 19's you will have to run a 35 or lower series tire. That will make for one rough ride.

I whipped out my 2005 catalogue, standard colour options for the S4 Cabrio (Note: Officially you are more limited in choice than the A4 is) are:
Brilliant Red, Dolphin Grey, Sprint Blue Pearl, Arctic White, Cambridge Green, Moro Blue Pearl, Light Silver, Brilliant Black and Ebony Pearl. A4-Cabrio-only colours are Amulet Red, Champagne metallic, Caribic Blue, Aquamarine blue and Alpaka Beige.

Who comes up with those names?!
