Default More Boost

I have an 01' S4 Avant, and I want more boost. Is chipping it a pretty safe way to go or is there another way that is less expensive.

ill go ahead and take care of this before someone gets on here and yells at you for not searching. but only on the condition that you dont ask anymore questions like this without searching, but yes its probably the safest way and no there arnt any cheaper options. thats the cheapest horsepower you can get...

Bad first post buddy. A pointless introduction post would have been more acceptable than this.

Second that on the APR. Great chip to start with. Go here to find a dealer near you. http://goapr.com/dealer/

Company has been around longer and easier for future upgrades. Your only giving up the stalk options.

Id go with GIAC for sho, but how many miles does the car have on it because if you chip it for 600 bucks..eventually you are gonna have to replace those turbos because they will wear out quicker if you chip the ecu. Thats when it starts getting expensive. If you dont care about spending a ton after your K03s blow then chip it and have fun until they go bye bye, but if you dont want to spend money on new turbos down the road, I would probably not chip it. If your car has 90-100k miles, id be hesitant to chip that car if I didnt have plans to upgrade to K04s
