Default motor mounts?

I had a question how good are the motor mounts on a 00 s4?? Cus when I am drivin my car and I step and let go of the gas the shifter moves a pretty good amount. Is that something normal? Don't seem that normal to me. And what options are there in motor mounts? I don't want anything too stiff. I know hondas have some inserts that make the stock mounts a lil harder but not as hard as the "solid" ones. Well any info would be of great help. THNKS

Also I'm getting a DEAL on a greddy profec B II. I mean its cheap compared to what it retails to is it something I should get?

you should get some play on the stick when booting the throttle like that, but it wont harm to check the front and rear mounts for ware and tear after all it is 6 years old even though the mounts last pretty long

I just got my s4 and I had the same problem. I thought it was the tranny mount. I was told that this is within Audi spec. I'm assuming that since an s4 is intended to be a luxury car, they used softer mounts so that there would be less vibration transmitted through the chassis.

I came across this in a search. I went ahead and ordered it because I find the drivetrain rocking annoying. It'll be here tomorrow for me and hope to get it installed soon after.

Yeah i was thinkin the same thing, and i think it was on the APR site that i saw some up rated ones that
can help significantly if u enjoy drivin your car ' briskly '?
Also from memory it was on the Audiworld site (dnt know if i am allowed to mention that site?) that they
had a comparo b/w stock mounts vs APR vs another brand - thru the Tech area
Hope that helps
Cheers

I got the drivetrain stabilizer yesterday but yet to intall. I did speak to someone who had it installed as well as the apr snub mount. He said the snub mount did very little, whereas the stabilizer did a lot but he still gets some movement.

Btw, eurostyleseast has the stabilizer for cheaper than awe-tuning. Well, free shipping. I just called awe-tuning about that and they were not willing to compensate. Here's the link if anyone is looking to buy:

Also, I should say that I talked to the PO and he said my car has a fresh apr snub mount. So that alone still allows quite a bit of play in the drivetrain.
