with an '04 S4 4.2 with a few mods I can get 23 MPG on the highway.... I bet I could get alot better if their geared 6th a little taller. 80 MPH = 3K. 6th is good for 20mph + when you are motoring around.

I have a stage 2+ B5 s4 i put 93 octane in at every fill. If i hammer it my MPG drops to nothing at all. If i dont drive like an A** Hole i get about 400 miles/ tank which is just about 25MPG i believe. But by the same tolken i can burn through a tank in less than 150miles. Its worth it to me, I sacrafice my MPG for that cool feeling when you hit 130 MPH, and for the ability to accelerate HARD out of turns.

I think people stressing MPG is foolish, when you buy a car you must have an idea of what MPG can be achieved based on ratings and then engine size. Driving conservatively is up to you. I know plently of people driving fairly efficient cars, but when your foot is to the floor as much as possible that efficience is gone.

you dont get 93 where you live? Iv heard that before but it just seems weird to me. Some places only have 91, but 93 is everywhere. I was freaked out when i got to montana and saw 85.5 for the first time haha
