Default My new 2000 S4

I just picked up a 2000 S4, with 84k for 15,000. The car checked out just fine by my mechanic. As good measure the dealership threw in a 3 year/ 45,000 mile warrenty(sorry i can't spell well at times, ha). But I had decided on doing 3 upgrades at this point. I want to chip it, exhaust, and down pipe. I'm curious as to what you feel is the best for it. I hate these threads as much as the next person but I am new to the audi world, I just sold my 1996 civic. Thank you all in advance.

Whatever you do...make sure you don't negate your warranty with mods...a free warranty is nice..especially with the little repairs we've all know and love with the S4..

Very true - check your warranty to see if any mods - ie: suspension, void the whole warranty or just the part
modified. Congrads on the car - post pics !

after reading the apr site about the chip, it sounds like i can get away with chipping the car if it really goes unnoticed. i spent all night tonight pretty much, racing little hondas and v6 stangs thinking they had something on me, it was good times, now its time to be a responsible driver and not street race. hell who am i kidding, i'm pretty sure that wont happen. hahaha

Your in a new league now..................Honda's and v6 stangs. U can beat in 6th gear from a 20 mph roll.....LOL. With a chip you should pull on STI's with no problem. Trust me I did it 2 weeks ago. An exhaust shouldn't void a warranty and the APR chip won't get picked up by the dealship(just make sure your in stock mode when u bring it to the dealership and make sure u get the right program when u get it with exhaust. Because u will get o2 sensor codes with a exhaust if u don't get the stage 2+ program.) . Downpipes might void the warranty because your removing cats. Unless you go with piggies then they look stock. That's my 2 cents. hope u spend it wisely. vastperformance.com has the piggies.

I myself came from a civic. A 93 turbo. But the S4 is in a new league!

Thanks for all the input. I think I will go with the piggie down pipes, exhaust, chip, and upgrade the intercoolers. Thats that. Thanks everyone.

You should be putting down about 270 to the wheels with that set up.

not to jump on your thread, but i have some left over parts from when i had a dsm (manual boost , boost gauge). can i install a mbc and just turn up the boost like a dsm or do you have to go a route. as you can tell i'm wet behind the ears in the audi world
