I have not chiped my car...but I would guess that it would not matter too much either way. It might be safer to wait until you have completed break-in, then again, there are new theories on break-in....and one of the most interesting theories is that there really is no break in...drive the car like you plan on driving the car...don't go crazy and redline it consistently off the bat, but just about everything else goes.

Do a search of the archives on breakin and there is some good information.

NICE CAR!

That is a magnificent picture! I hope others may accept the B7 grill after seeing a pic like this. That gray sets it off too; there are entirely too many black and silver cars (in general) on the roads today.

I'm looking to make my '05 S4 faster, what exactly does chiping a naturally aspirated motor do? Are there any other products available to make these cars faster? By the way I love the new front end. Nice car!

Basically Chip, exhaus, intake...That is about all you can do at this point. Each gives modest gains...I think most chips claim about 7-10hp, exhaust maybe 15 (full system), and intake I'm not sure...maybe 5?

Check out this article from Audiworld

I'm having trouble with the link....this link will put you to the new archive...chose May 2005...then chose the article called

GIAC and REVO have chips for the 4.2 S4. Not sure about the B7 , the ECU might be different.
APR has an exhuast with nice gains , 25 HP and 35 TQ they claim.
