Default My new baby!

Just found this forum and would like to say HI! I just bought an 06 S4 and could not be happier. I traded my 00 A6 2.7T for the S4 and WOW what a difference. Here is my small review: The engine--folks if you can afford this car, dont hesistate. Just turning the key will make your blood flow. I took an off ramp the other day at 90 and it didnt even shutter! This car is illegally fast. You pass someone and your going 100 before you can even look at the odometer. Next purchase: V1.! The Recaro seats --Nappa leather is soooooo smooth, I get nervous just sitting in it. Any suggetions for cleaning would be great. I want it to keep its look forever!. iPod, XM and Bluetooth are amazing. I get in the car and BANG -the Razr is recognized and my entire phonebook is stored in the car, ready to go! So as you can see I am very happy with my new car. There are a bunch of other plus marks, but I will let all of you find them for yourself! Enjoy --dont take a test drive unless your ready to pay!!

Sounds great. The S4's were really improved beginning in '04 when they went to the 4.2 V-8. I know what you mean about the power, just amazing.

We just got an '02 S6 with 18k. Same engine as the S4, not quite as quick as the lighter S4 but still an absolute rocket. HUGE difference from the allroad 2.7T we traded. I was thinking of getting a new A4 to replace the allroad but when I drove the S6 my local dealer had, my mind was changed immediately. The ultimate bad-*** station wagon.

very very cool. I'm gonna try to talk my father into an S4 or S6 as his next car!

so you all have owned older models, have you had any maintanence problems? is maintanence any worse than anyther audi or is it just about the same? Everyone seems to feel that the sposts line of any car (AMG, M, S) is always much higher maintanence then other models. Just a myth?

i think the maintenance is gonna be more cuz the parts used are more expensive IMO.

I agree with scarzie, the upkeep of my A6 2.7T was pretty expensive, but I had a great run with the car. 4 awesome years and only a few problems. I knew it was time, so I made the leap to the S4. I will get some Pics soon. The weather has been horrible in upstate NY and I cant get a good shot!

Hey Dan and Don - Good for you guys !! I'm right behind you, if the local AUDI salesman wakes up, and figures out "CUSTOMER focus."

Please forgive the triviality, but how many exhaust pipes? 2 or 4 ?

Yes -4 exhuast pipes in the back and a BEEEAUTIFUL sound. I have had more comments on the sound of the engine, than anything else. i had a guy with a Chevy Truck come up to me in the parking lot the other day and ask what I had under the hood. I said "guess" and he guessed a 2.0L V6 enigine. You should have seen the look on his face when I opened the HOOD! PRICELESS.
