My Stage 3 S4 runs an 11.51 @ 125.7mph and traps a best of 126.2mph
Hey guys, its been a while. Been busy with business ventures as of late. I used to always get all my latest results to you guys quickly. So here ya go.
The story (short version)
Hey guys as you may know I have been working alongside with VAST Performance for a while. Well since May (German Invasion Time) I have been demanding for more from a file for my car. I have personally used APR and GIAC in the past and they just didn't cut it for what I wanted, I knew there was more in my car. I wanted to be able to run at the dragstrip and easily run 11s even with excesive tire spin, instead of slamming into the rev limiter and wasting the run. Well, VAST did it for me. This video was shot several weeks ago, this was the first version of the file and I only had it for 2 days prior to making it to the track.
Mystage 3 Car's complete setup
JHM "pure race file" - plain KO4 Turbos - JHM prototype FMIC (coming soon) - VAST RS4/Hitachi Hybrid MAF - VAST ported stock headers - RS4 Injectors (ended up maxing them out on my 126.2 mph pass) - RS4 Airbox - RS4 Throttle Body - Gasket matched intake ports - RS4 Cams - Baileys Diverter Valves - APR Y-pipe - JHM prototype 3" down pipes - Single 3" cat back (unhooked but in the car for these runs) - JHM "solid" Short Throw Shifter - VAST Stage 3 clutch w Ceramic Hybrid Disc - JHM trans rebuild - AWE Lighweight flywheel - AWE Drive Line Stablizer w JHM polyurethane mount mod - StopTech Big Brakes - Volks Racing LE37 18" rims w 225/40/R18 Kuhmo MX street tires - H&R springs - Bilstein shocks and struts - LLTek Rear Spoiler - RSR front bumper - Fiber Images Carbon Fiber Hood - Custom Stereo Enclosure w JL 10s and MB Quart speakers (out of the car for these runs) - Boost Guage - Aluminum Dash Trim Kit.
If I forgot anything please let me know. The only interior piece I removed for these runs was the rear upper seat backs, since I removed it to get my large system out of the car. I have A/C and everything else on this car. This car has 118k miles on the original engine and is daily driven.

Best ET and Trap

All 12 slips. Actually have a video of an 11.7 pass that I lost the slip for so in reality I had 13 11 second passes that night.

My car, Mike Hoods car and Dan's car with Dan and Mikein the pic.

Additional info to show the power diff at half track.
Here I dug up my old APR slip. Look at the difference in trap at half track. Also look at the date. It is soooooooo much faster. 2 mph at half track is huge without powershifting. I just need to get my new green giants in and then I can actually finish a run.
99mph half track with a good 60 ft.

99mph half track with a bad 60 ft.

APR 97 mph half track while powershifting in December

I took one ASE test back in the day after exiting highschool, the list you have is impressive non the less...
Complete side question, why don't you run the IRON PUCK clutch that VAST used to offer, I guess the second question is why did they get rid of it..?

Unless you have enough power to run 10s with full interior this clutch is fine.Plain K04s are to yet get someone in the 10s full interior. The only K04 powered S in the 10s only weighs 2550 lbs (1000 less than mine) and it has the same clutch as me. We will be building a GT28 powered car here in the future and be using this stage 3 clutch like mine (the car it is going into has a brand new one and the owner doesn't want to pay for a better clutch yet), so I think we will find its limits. HAHA
Yes it is, the actual writer of the files is a Ford Racing engineer with ties to Europe through Cosworth Racing (being that both are affiliated). I had many software companies to choose from when I decided to get into tuning and I chose VAST for that reason. They are cool guys, they just want to help people build fast cars.
