My videos(11sec pass) & results from the German Invasion Drag Racing event in LA.
So I decided to make the 350 mile 5 hour drive to LA County Raceway for the http://germaninvasion.comevent put on by Wicked Motorsports.
The elevation there is 2710 feet above sea level. When I arrived at 11 p.m. on Sunday night with cooler 65 degree temps my car felt horribly slow in comparison to where I live up in Nor Cal near sea level. When I put the race gas in next morning it actually only felt like it did on pump gas back home.
Once I arrived at the track and unloaded all my gear so I can race I was not up to pulling my huge stereo out (takes 2 people to lift out and some contorting). I did at least open up my exhaust at the downpipes. It began to warm up quickly and was soon in the 80s around 11 a.m. from what I recall.
I made 19 passes with a worst of 12.8 on my first pass with the traction control on. I had only 2 other passes slower than 12.4. I got one 11.9 and mostly 12.0s and 12.1s all day. I could only run 21 p.s.i. Any more than that and my intake temps got too close to 70 degrees celcius.

Mike Hood is now running my shifter and linkage upgrade in his A4, his video is here ---->http://audishifter.com/videos/Mikes_...ion5-13-07.wmv
Here are some pics from the event as well. P.S. The yellow losing slips were only agains mike hood and when I red lighted trying for a perfect light.

Wow,
I herd the track was a killer. Most cars really met there match. You and your car are a perfect example of what a well built well tuned car will do. Even at that elevation. WOW well done........and thanks a lot Now I have to spend even more money with VAST. Just to try and keep up with cars like yours.....The V8 is really sounding like it needs a big hand to keep up

Jay,
That was my car in the Vid. How ever that was Kurt driving as he can really drive.
My car is a clone of Kurt's car. I actually had a M5, I by pureluck raced Kurt in his A6-super car while I was in my M5. I had been looking into doing some upgrades to my A6 so it just came together. Now that he got me started I don't want to stop.
He has your shifter in his A6 and I will soon have one in mine. Just have to work less so I have time to install it

nice times bro, especially at that elevation & temps. I couldn't see the time slip, but how'd you do against that 996tt?
