need immediate help..

ok so my car has been hesitating and running in limp mode and now the mechanic has it traced to o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2..and he also says it is 650 installed??? that seems like a lil much for a damn o2 sensor..so anyone know where to get that sensor and if theres a diy write up??

Holy crap!!! Thats a lot!

The sensor should run about $70-$80 bucks... or at least thats why my mechanic can get them for, and labor might be a little more than normal because, if I remember correctly, that is the rear 02 sensor... wait which is actually easier to remove and install. IDK but $650 is WAY to much!

i know thats what i was thinking..do you know where your mechanic gets them ?? i think i found the right one on ecs tuning website for 150 bucks so unless it costs 500 to install it...but i think he is getting the part from audi which he saiud is 397 just for the part...

ecs tuning is great, done business with them before, don't go with the stealership,

Are you mechanically inclined at all? if so, get it from ecs and install it youself, saves ya about $500.

yeah im mechanically inclined a little biut i just did the plugs and coils in my s4..so if it isnt that hard i should be able to takcle it..ill just buy the 02 sensor socket on ecs website..anyone have any write ups on this?

a little pricey but the bank 1 is the o2 that is located right after the turbo which is kind of a pita to get to. But if you can do the plugs im pretty sure you can do it. for the front o2 tho, your gunna need atleast an 18in extension to get to it and an o2 wrench
