Question Need A New Radiator... HAve a question first

I need a new radiator for my 02 S4. My car is a AT/TIP tranny and i am wondering if the MT has the same radiator. Mine as the tranny fluid lines running into it and back out again. Just wondering.

Thanks.

i was under the impression its the same part. i dont know why you would have trans lines running into it...the trans cooler is behind the pass. side IC.

Hmm...im curious too now.

I believe the there is a heat exchanger in the radiator for the ATF as well as an external cooler.

I may be wrong, it' s been a while since I've been in there.

Here you can see the other lines here... I was under the impression they were tranny lines???

The line follows the red line and then goes, what i looks like is into the radiator (red dotted lines), then back out again. When i un-did the one line on the right it was a blackish oil. It looks like the lines go back into the tranny under the car... i will try and get under there with my camera for more pictures.

ATF should not be black...i also saw the post on AZ, the trans cooler isn't in the radiator, so i dont know why it would be different. I would give Audi a call and see what they say about the part numbers. according thepartsbin.com its the same in both.

I am very interested in the answer here as well.

Looks like it is a cooler in the radiator:

Do a snub mount while your in there. 034 Motorsport. Has a good one.

Remember to top off or change the ATF also, when your done.

Anyone use one of these??? It's almost half the price of a Audi one.
