just bought an s4 and needs a little fixing up. I know the problem of most of the things but one i dont know what it could be. The problem: when im at a dead stop and start to let off the clutch a crunch sound comes from the rear of the car for a second then goes away. Any help is great thanks

 

wheel bearing is probably shot to hell

 

Check out the rear diff mount

 

i know my wheel bearing is bad but would it make that sound?

If you KNOW a part is BAD then put that IN YOUR POST!

YES! a failed wheel bearing will make that kind of noise!!!!!!!!!!

 

Im going with rear diff mount. cause if the car is already stopped and u push in clutch the wheel bearing shouldnt make any noise cause u are not moving..... but if its when your coming to a stop then i would leave towards wheel bearing / braked caliper issue.
