Default need some help ya'll again

so im about to do my upper front control arm on the driver side. The bolt that connects the control arm to the strut plate is put in so you cant slide it out all so you cant take the control arm out. Now my question: can you cut the bolt( since a new comes with the kit) and slide the bolt in the other way around or do i need to take the whole strut out and put it in the same way it is now? Thanks

Now on my brothers A6 he pulled the whole thing out,but when installing it he turned the bolt around. So thenext time it needs to be removed it will be a little easier. I have no idea why they did it that way. Neither he or I thought of cutting the bolt.
