Default new audi help

hi,

i'm a new proud owner of a 2008 audi s4 (b7).

i was thinking about doing a few performance upgrades and wanted some feedback becuase i really have no idea as to what i'm doing.

plans:

1-ECU
2-intake
3-cat back exhaust
4-maybe sway bars and some slotted rotors

i've been looking a apr and milltech as possible buys foe exhaust, but i dont know what else is out there and what is the best for my car.

any feedback would be awesome

thanks guys

check out Stramosphere.com. they have a huge 20% off sale on B7 s4 stuff including ecus, induction systems, cat backs, etc.

just looked at the website. the intake looks pretty good, but it could also be a little shady....how do i know im not gonna set off the check engine light (this has happened to me before in other cars where i installed a cold air intake). also, does'nt it need to be located in the front bumber to be a real cold air intake? it looks like thery are just replacing the existing box and charging you for a cone filter, rather than supplying a kit that moves the induction ddep into the fropnt bumber (and away from the hot engine)

there are a lot of different things that translate into a cold air intake... for one. usually they use an aluminum pipe instead of a plastic or rubber one which reduces temps drastically. second, you dont have to have one at the bumper to be a cold air.. i would think anywhere air is picked up not close to the engine compartment or set up with a duct from forced outside air could be considered that.. and the check engine light comes on every time usually due to the IAT being unplugged...even with key off.

ok, makes sense. i was just woried that i was gonna get some junky thing that wasn't really doing anything.

do you know if there is a way to ensure the check engine light doesn't go off?

sometimes you can pull the entire sensor out of the rubber housing.. and you might be able to undo the battery. just make sure you have the radio codes (if anti-theft) before you do this..

Rear sway bar is the cheapest and most noticable upgrade you can do. Exhaust will sound great and chip will help with throttle control, but that's about it.

any preference out there on cat back exhausts? i'm looking at the milltek (resonated), apr, or possibly corsa... i like the way the stock sounds, just looking for a little more (don't want to go wit anyting too much louder, just maybe a bigger pair of nuts)....

suggestions...?

thanks
