Default new clutch and now a coolant leak?

ok so i put a new clutch in my 2000 s4 and when we pulled the tranny out a little drip of coolant started nothing much just a drip every minute or so, so i didnt think much about it thought maybe i had bumped a hose or something, so i get the car all back together and start it and coolant is just pooring out behind the tranny on the d/s, after a few minutes of looking i found the leak somewhere below the intake manifold right on top of the block there was just a puddle all the way around the top of the engine. so my question is what would be causing that leak or is anyone else has had this issue. thank you.

Default RE: new clutch and now a coolant leak?

My guess would be the auxiliary coolant pump. I changed mine the 1 st year of onwership
it's under the intake. They are prone to fail and they leak coolant when they do so. If you wrench it's not that complicated to change but the acces is difficult if you change it W/O taking the intake out. (pump sells for 175 $ range)

Good luck.
