Default new dv's

ok so i just put in some new 710n's. gota say i hate the bottem rubber hoses, those bitches turn a 10 minute job into a 30 minute job with painful gashes cut into your fingers. so my question is what does the fabric hose coming from the right dv do? i just happened to noticed that it was cut in half when i took it out, and that the smaller piece then accidentally fell into the bottom bay cover.

I'm trying to do my dv's too soon. Is it hard for someone without much wrenching skills? Think I can email you for some tips?
Oh and nice to see another Hokie on here. I assume you're still going to school there? I left there about a year and a half ago.

yea just finished my first year. im actually at radford but i have so many friends at tech and im there so often that im practically a hokie. i only missed 2 home games last season. trying to transfer my junior year after my roommates graduate.

its really easy, basically just remove the engine cover loosen up the brackets and get ready to grunt because the hoses are a bitch to get off, shove the new ones back in put the brackets on and tighten everything back up. if you need anymore help just let me know.

You should have no problem man, DVs are simple, they sit right on top of the engine and are easily accessed. Nothing like an O2 sensor or something.

Thanks guys, I'll order some after the next paycheck. VAST used to have them, anyone know why they stopped carrying them?
