Default New to the forum

Hey there,

I'm new to the forum I've been lurking for a while but i don't even own a S4 yet I'm in the process of trading my 07 scion tc for a b5 s4, Ive done some work and the tc and its getting to young and annoying for me. So I'm going with an s4 for a cleaner look, plus AWD and a great car. my plans for the car are simple but i wanted to air them out here and see what you all though maybe I'm going in the wrong direction. so here is my list of plans in order of priority

Coilovers
APR stage 1 chip
APR Boost gauge
Tints
possible down pipe and electronic dump valve or just dump valve(has anyone done this one an s4 its very popular on srt4s, and wrxs)
Brembo break kit

and that's about it, but if anyone here would suggest not doing any of there things or doing something else i would appreciate hearing about it. I'm new to Euros and have a lot to learn so any advise would be awesome.

Wink

do you mean APR 93 octane tune?? if your doing that youll want to gut the precats or go with a catback and then do an intake mod.. and if you go with gutting the cats and do the labor yourself your looking at next to nothing in cost..and youll definately notice the boost lag shortened...youll also want to get a samco silicone throttle boot or an aluminum bi-pipe to deal with the extra boost.

everyone on this forum has told me that shortly after i started running the 17 psi tune that my old k03's would surely give out.. but that hasnt been the case for me. and since im going to start a new project this summer ive been running the turbos to death, and still no problems. nonetheless id be prepared to look into a turbo upgrade if this does happen to you. 2400 or so for the k04's alone and then other costs to make it work..fmic and such, better diverter valves, a stronger clutch set up.. hey. i can promise you that once you do the first upgrade to stage 2 or 2+ you cannot WAIT to go to stage three.. so be prepared...you WILL be sinking more money into this car than you wanted too.. but were all still here , so buy one and youll see why

well itll take about 5 or 6 hours depending on how mechanically inclined you are.. simply remove your down pipes.. then one at a time beat out the ceramic porcelin mixture of whatever the catalyst is made of out.. believe me.. it wont be easy.. but its worth it.. for the intake .. search this website for darintake and you should get instructions on how to make air flow freer ... then if you get a chip youll be around 2 or 2+... then you can add whatever whenever, but until you get new software itll all be pretty much unoticeable ... injectors will still open the same pulse width.. boost will only be allowed to a certain level even with k04's... fmic will still only cool air but better.. but as for me.. im saving up and buying it all at once.. and by mid summer.. I WILL HAVE A K04 S4!!!!!!
