hey im new to the forum and to the audi world... I have always been in to Quick cars.. i use to have a Evo VIII and a honda s2000 now a 2002 gsxr 600.... well my real q is i want to get a Audi s4 2000-2002 as a project car. Something with high miles then build the motor and trans... add some big turbos and a nice tune and be good to go...i dont want this to be a 2 year project... it would be a lifetime project. since the car would be paid off whats the point geting rid off it? if your not going to make anything out of it. i found a nice 2001 s4 6 speed with 92k miles for $13,900 but there is something wrong with it. It dosnt boost any ideas why you guys would think it dosnt boost would be great. sorry for the 2nd grade spelling im just very sick and dizzy..... if you guys also know any good web site where i could find perfomance parts like engine intake ,exhaust, ect ect that would great to.

It could be a number of things,change the diverter valves and pressurize the turbo system to check for any leaks it might have. Look into www.goapr.com www.lltek.com or www.awetuning.com for performance parts. There are plenty others but they are some of the best.

 

Why do you think it isn't boosting? Stock you can't hear or feel the turbo's it's nothing like the EVO. Don't forget it's only 250hp stock, so that's almost 40hp less then a stock EVO & the S4 is over 400lbs heaver.

well i know its nothing like the evo... i raced a s4(stock) and it was right next to my door(evo). And ppl always say im a good driver. i ran a 13.2 with my evo 8 and a 13.9 with my s2000 both bone stock. I never saw the car but on the website it says car wont boost. every day im reading about this cars and im starting to like them more and more each day... Im just worried because of such high miles... I really want to mod this car and beat some of my friends they like to run there mouth alot.. some of the cars are... e46 m3 05 mustang gt 03 mustang cobra 07 sti very modded srt4 turbo s2000.What would i need to keep up or even beat this cars. I really dont want to go k04s. when its time to upgrade turbos i want to go all out With bigger turbos.

Just remember if your going to do a turbo upgrade you may have to pull the engine to do it. Devils4 has changed his turbos through the front of the car by removing the front bumper but the biggest turbo he took out were k04's, and I'm sure that if your wanting to go bigger than that your gonna plan on doing gt25s and I have no idea if you will be able to swap those through the front of the car without having to pull the engine.

sorry to be such a pain.. But i can not find any site that sales any kit to build ur motor. i dont want to pay 5grand for k04s i saw a website dont remeber wich one [:@]but it was 2 k04s with all the hardwear and gaskets for only $2,000 anyone have any idea where i could find that?

Keep dreaming, it's never going to happen, yea all of it.

You can get the K04's for $2000, but you also need the inlet pipes, another $500+

That will give you around 300whp, depending on what chip you have. To get more, you need a fueling kit, they run around $2000+. That's in the 330-360whp range.

For 400-500whp, you are past K04's & no matter what you do, it's going to be a LOT more then $5000. Your looking at Hybrid K04's, or Gt28 or Gt35 turbo kits, both the GT kits are, well around what you are going to pay for the car.

The car is much harder, & much more expensive to get HP from compared to the EVO. But the S4 is not a HP monster, it's a torque monster, and 400wtorque is not hard to get.
