<-- New S4 owner!!
Well, I finally picked it up last night.
I was up since 7:00am Pacific time at work, took the red-eye to Atl. (2-3hrs sleep tops) and then connected to Raleigh to land at 10:30am. Drove to Charlotte and picked it up at 5:00pm Eastern, got home and passed out!
All I remember from yesterday night is the following:
1. Looks good in red.
2. No noise at idle or mid throttle, on boost you hear the turbos go (I assume hissing is normal since my Soarer also hissed).
3. No smoke from exhaust
4. No hesitation at all when WOT
5. Need tires soon [sm=boosign.gif]
6. 120mile trip averaged 32.3 MPG (shwing!!!)
7. Alarm range sucks!!!!! (I saw the post on range extension, will try out soon).
8. When wheel is turned to lock either way and going slow (u-turn) the car vibrates slightly. Is this normal? (tires slipping maybe?)
9. Wish it had a iPod hookup or aux in.
10. Looks good in red.
Anyhow so after I do some reliability mods to it (timing belt, hoses, DV). I might take it to the next autoX and see how I do there. Last 2 events I took my wife's Mazda3 automatic and won the novice class.
Picures coming shortly, waiting for wife to get home with camera.

Cool good buy! You might get a little discouraged with a stock car in a Auto-X, the car is very slow to turn, & really likes to plow, for some reason, the car is real hard to rotate.
Good call on fixing all the dumb stuff before you make it faster, do the remote thing, do the TTB, TB, DV's & then chip it!
