First the S4 is the top dog over BMW and Benz and now I see the S6 kicks the M5 to the curb. Got to love the all-rounded Audi.

 

I love audi and all..I wouldnt say the s6 kicks the m5 to the curb by any means.. The s6 is a badass looking car.. but it is still ~70hp shy of the m5 and .5-1 sec slower to 60. Now the rs6 will be a different story.

 

The S6 0 to 60 mph #'s were estimated by Audi. Audis numbers are always conservative. (ie S4 V8..Audi gives a 0-60 in 5.3 but most mags were getting in he high 4 second range). They pretty much said the M5 was outdated and the transmission was not good at all. As a total package the S6 is superior. I bet we will see much better 0-60 numbers when the mags clock the S6.
In a real world test they should test in wet and dry conditions. Would'nt that be interesting #'s.

 

haha..well wet and dry yeah the s6 hands down. I would probably agree the s6 is a better package.. But again its like comparing the m3 and the s4..similar yet different. And, i dont think ive seen a mag yet that quoted the s4 v8 under 5 seconds. Ive seen 1 at 5 flat.. but most were 5.1-5.3

 

Here are a couple S4 Test I had around. One is under 5 seconds the other I am not sure either under 5seconds or right at 5.0 seconds
