Hi, new to the site, and just ‘checkin’ in’ as the category suggests…. I have a 2001, black on black S4 Avant 6 spd since new, with only 31k miles on it (I travel a lot). I briefly had a ’99 A6 before that, nice car, but underpowered with the 2.8. I needed some hauling utility as well as wanting a sports car, so the S4 was the only logical choice for an ‘all in one’ package. Once I found a dealer not charging 5-10k over sticker, (they do that a lot in SoCal) I pounced on my current ride. This car is the best car I’ve ever had-tough German engineering, great interior layout, comfortable, practical, and pretty damn fast, even stock. I leased the car, so I haven’t touched it yet with mods so as to not void the warranty. The lease is up in July, when I will buy the car and start to have some fun with it, with at least a chip and exhaust. That’s about it….. I did post a small problem the car has had since new in the ‘S model’ category, but haven’t received any answers yet. Possibly some of you more experienced Audi folk (drivetrain/trans) or some of the moderators can check it out - post is: “S4 ‘bump’ in drive train?”…. Gald to be part of a group of folks that appreciate the fine engineering Audi has to offer.

All picts of the car are not that good unfortunately... I need to take some good ones now that I have a decent dig camera....any size restrictions or other parameters to follow when including a pict?
