My neverending search has finally paid off. First of all, yes I really did want a manual since I already have a tiptronic A4. I also wanted something with fewer miles. But I found an amazing deal in my area that I just coudn't pass up. It's a Black 2000 S4 with 127,000 miles. Overall good to great condition. Previous owner kept meticulous records. Last receipt is for $2200.00 - timing belt, waterpump and other important stuff. Control arms, tie rods, etc. all been recently done. I paid $9700. I was planning on spending around $17,000. But when I see a good deal I jump on it. Needless to say I have a bunch of cash left over for future repairs and of course mods. Look forward to some discussions.

I did talk the guy down a few thousand. But yes, it can be done for under 10 grand as long as you're not totally set on a specific car. I was but never found it.

Wow...for under $10k I'd consider getting a second one to get a little more wild with.

This just sucks! The value of these cars are dumping so fast! 6mo ago they were all over $20k, now there starting to go for lower teens and now under $10? That is crazy!
Man, if I got mine for that cheap, I would have taken it to STG III already!
