Default Off brand ECU tuning...

So i've been doin a lot of looking on ebay for performance parts for my 2001 s4. I want to get an ECU upgrade for some more power However, my money flow situation isnt what id like it to be at the moment and can't really afford to buy a GIAC or APR ECU upgrade.
Well my question is i found some off brand or pretty much unknown Tuners on ebay selling ECU upgrades they claim to have the same power gains as the top of the line ones 313hp and 370tq, Anyone had experience on these they are priced in the $200 range and have a send in and flash policy.
Any info would be nice thanks

first off, lovely car with nice miles in your signature....im looking at an almost identical one right now.

second, ebay is like taking a chance......sometimes u get good deals, sometimes its crap....
i wouldnt mess around with mods when it comes to my car, so i say you get what you pay for with ebay. just save your money and get an apr chip. or look for a used one on this forum and others.

Save your money bud, and get a GIAC if you want something aggressive. I wouldnt mess with ebay brands with an audi or with anything as serious as an ECU in my car.

Second I wouldn't get any part from E bay. After you buy it who is going to support you if there is an issue. I would suggest finding a good tuner and sticking with them. That is what I did it has payed dividends for me. I would have never be able to get this far if I didn't

I also second the GIAC chip. APR chips are kinda soft and in the end they don't seem to react as well to modifications.

You have a TIP which means anything you buy off ebay will most likely NOT work, and everything from APR will also not work. The only option you have is pretty much GIAC or REVO for your chip. Trust me, Ive been looking also

Are you feeling lucky? If it all works out then great you go some HP for cheap. If it doesn't work out, you will need to purchase a new ECU, & who knows what else, then it will end up costing you 3X the price of a real GIAC flash.

People are selling flashed ECU's all the time, just look out for one.

DO it right the first time, or don't do it at all....

I purchased Inmotion tuning a few months back and it pulls pretty hard and everything seems to be running fine (knock on wood). I don't have any dyno sheets, but if anyone wants to go for a spin at Waterfest you can PM me.

I like it, it pulls pretty hard and smoothly; it holds at about 15psi. It's definitely noticeable, and the turnaround wasn't bad either. I sent it out on a Monday and received it on Wednesday I believe. I have a 6 speed.
