Well they could have put the v10 from the gallardo in, but then it would in fact be competing with the gallardo which audi niether needs or wants. This is more of a mercedes SL500 killer, faster, better looking (imo), and has awd not to mention the countless features this thing has. Its a different niche car than an all out sports car, its basically a mature/refined gallardo.

 

Plus this is supposed to be around 100 grand with options, whereas the gallardto STARTS at 160 ish, again, to try and not compete wiht the gallardo

 

scarzie.. i get what youre saying.. but they totally held back on this car. I know lambo is the reason of why theyre doing it.. but its still a different car.. i dotn think the two are in competition.. someone who wants a lambo would get a lambo... i dotn think ... like pturbo said.. that it would step on lambos feet. Not to mention, this is supposed to be audi's supercar or flagship.. how do you go and give it a smaller engine then the s6. all the car is is the rs4 with then engine mounted in the middle... it should have been stepped up.
