I am in the same boat as you. My A6 was in the shop a couple of months ago for the mass air flow and one of the CATs. Last week my thermostat went out and it goes back in on Thursday for an undetermined amount of time for the CEL that I know is the other CAT or O2 sensors. I asked them the last time if they should replace the other CAT and look at the O2's and they said there was no reason to. They were just ripping me off like every other stealership. It's a joke and very hard to deal with at times. I don't know what keeps me going with this car. For some reason, I love it and it's really starting to **** off my other half. She is getting fed up with it. I know that the dealer is bad but nothing is as bad as dealing with the lady when it comes to vehicles. She would rather sell it and get a Honda. I know it's not as flashy but damn, it's much more reliable.

This is off topic but ive been riding with my gf in her little benz kompressor...its the 2 seater 230...and some kid tried to race us in a a6...she beat him...not by alot but still...her car isnt that fast...i think the a6 was a 3.0 or something? not sure..he had rims on it...of course the time we run up on another audi around here, my cars in the shop...pissed me off...but does that sound right? are the a6 slow?

3.0, yeah. Too heavy to get off the line quick without some torque.

Oh that just sucks! I know how you feel!

My car is all sorted out now, but for a time it seams like everything was breaking at the same time.

Fix it & be happy!
