So far I got the cold air intake, the downpipes w exhaust. I was wondering if it is worth getting the chip? And is there anything else engine wise, that will increase horse and torque, besides a supercharger.

What say you?

 

not really that i know of. Normally on a NA car, you could do cams and gears, or a port and polish, but i dont know that they ahve that sort of stuff available.

 

I just had the GIAC chip installed today. I also have the downpipes/exhaust and cold air intake. GIAC just came out with a new program for V8 S4s with the downpipes using 93 octane. If you get the chip, make sure that your shop downloads this latest software. It is definitely worth it. You may not gain a lot of hp, but the throttle response is sooo much better. You'll notice the difference right away.

well I just noticed this post was on the wrong thread... please disregard.

 

if you look.. i do know of people who have had custom cams and custom intake manifolds with larger throttle bodies made.. that is about it.. work on the rest of your car until the charger comes out.. cause with the V8.. you have pretty much done everything you can to gain HP adn TQ.. you have the chip left to do which will help.. but if you are looking for a bit to a lot more.. than you are not going to get it without taking your car to a shop and having them re-build your engine (port, polish, all new internals for the rs4)
