My car has been sitting in the parking lot for over a week now because it started to misfire and hesitating when I was driving one day. Took it to autozone and pulled P0300 and P0332
P0300- Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0332- Knock Circuit 2, Bank "2",Low input sensor "2"
Not really sure whats causing those to come up but I replaced plugs (will do it again because I was told that i am a cheap bastard for getting Autolite once) (Also been told that Bosh works much better on out cars)...
Car is not showing which cylinder is misfiring only that its random. It idles rough and misfires when I give pedal some gas. Checked vacuum and it reading 20ish and looks like i got full boost 8-10spi...

(Pretty much all of the people on AZ told me to take it to the shop... I honestly want to work on it my self and save some cash and leave shop as a last resort...)

If anyone has any advice for me please feel free to comment and help me out...

 

BTW i have 2000 S4 tip

 

a bad knock sensor could cause the misfire. what grade fuel have you been running?

you could try fixing it by re-torquing the knock sensor or replacing it.

 

Ive always put "Special" one above regular...
I would do the knock sensor but from what i know and heard, knock sensor would throw codes even if its working fine due to misfires in the car. Am I correct?
I want to test other possible things that could cause the domino effect before tearing blocks apart to reach to the knock sensor...
