P1113 Code

P1113 Code
I recently purchased a 2001 S4 with about 36,000 miles. There are no performance mods. Everything was great for the first few days. The check engine light then came on. Auto Zone pulled the code and it was P1113. Took the car back to the local dealer where I purchased the car who then took the car to the nearest Audi dealer (about 2hrs 45min away). We were told it needed an O2 sensor (passenger side after cat). This was replaced. About 50 miles later the code P1113 is back. My gas mileage before and after the O2 sensor was replaced has been consistent and appears to be fine (combined city and highway = 22mpg). The car also seems to run fine. Any thoughts on what this may be? I have looked at other posts and this code does appear to be related to an O2 sensor problem. The guys at Auto Zone thought it could be an IAT sensor. Any help from this forum will be greatly appreciated. My step-father and I have some mechanical experience and would like to do the repairs ourselves if possible as I do not have an extended warranty.
BTW I will post some pics once I have time to get some good daylight shots.

RE: P1113 Code
Heres what i got when i searched the code:
DTC: 17521
P-Code: P1113
Description: Bank1-Sensor1 Internal Resistance too High
Do a search on AW and ull prolly find a lot of info, it seems like a pretty common problem.

RE: P1113 Code
Thanks for the info. I did look at AW and the general consensus is that the O2 sensor should be replaced. It looks to me like the dealer where I purchased the car may have replaced the wrong O2 sensor. Assuming it is not the O2 sensor that is bad, any thoughts on what could cause the internal resistance to be too high? Also, bank1 sensor1 is the pre-cat O2 on the passenger side right? Again, thanks in advance for the help.

RE: P1113 Code
I think thats the right O2 sensor you're talking about. Id say replace that and if it still throws a code, come back again and we can take another look at it, cuz other than that im out of ideas on what it could be.

Do you think it was a programming issue b/c the dealer said secondary O2 and the code is for the primary O2? One thing I suspect happened is that when the dealer I purchased the car from took it to the Audi dealer, they simply misunderstood which O2 sensor was causing the code. Then when the dealer I purchased the car from replaced the secondary it did not fix the problem.

P1113 is o2 sensor (HO2S) 1, bank 1 - heater resistance too high - fault is wiring or o2 sensor stuffed, they changed the wrong sensor take it back and get them to change the right one this time (programming issue) hahaha load of cobblers P1114 is bank 2
