Default Place your bets.My New Clutch install. 4 hours?

I havent posted much here except a rant about waiting for some friends to have the time to get me a deal on the install price of my clutch. Well that was a very long time and i'm still waiting. BUT.>........ TODAY IS THE DAY!

Its 4:09pm EST and i left work early because of the excitement of finally getting my clutch installed and feeling the power my car once had, about 6 months ago. Ever since wasterfest last summer and the 13.5 runs i was doin, this was expected. haha 6th gear started slipping then and 2nd gear slips with any amount of boost. The car is an 02 s4 and has 107,000 and the stock clutch with a 93 APR tune. I have two mechanics and they are cool guys and fast workers. Installing the new RS4 clutch and new stock flywheel. They are telling me 4 hours tonight. I show up at 5 and 9:00 i pick it up. They talk about getting the uper bolts off the turbos on the left side with out pulling the engin.

What's your bet. HOW LONG DO YOU THINK I WILL TAKE.
Thats fast. I'm might need to bring an 18 pack of BL and not a 6.

Also, my mechanic said a light weight flywheel migh destroy the Transmission. He claims its because of my agressive driving style. I might agree The damn car is such a beast, its the cars fault i drive it like that. Do you think thats the case?

I'll be back later. Wish me luck.

4 hours? That might be a record man. I don't think that tranny is coming out and going back in in less than 6-8 hrs.

No it won't. The tranny doesn't care how quick the rpm's come up.

That would be impressive if they did it in 4 hours. At the same time a fast pace increases their chance for error. I hope they do a good job. Every shop I've talked told me 8-10 hours. There is a lot of stuff that needs to be removed before you can get to the clutch.

I do wish you the best of luck...

Cleared for now. We will see. By the way, Mount snow was amazing. the parks are vast and take up a whole mountian peak and two lifts. Great times..
