Hi, I just found a 2K S4 6 speed with 91000 on the clock. I have not yet seen the car in daylight but I will tomorrow. The car is unlocked so I can look under the hood. What tell-tale things should I look for. The engine was warm when I looked at it and I cant smell any oil so I think the valve cover seals are ok. Its at a vw dealr and they are open monday so im gonna drive it then. The car looks to be in ok shape, there are some scratches but no dents, some curb rash and the interior looks good. The car has stock exhaust, no tint and looks stock under the hood. The oil is perfectly clear. I no about timing belt and ball joints, I have that with my a6. Are there any sighns of bad turbos? Also, the car doesnt have a price on it so what do you guys think I should be willing to give for it.

just drive it...if its quiet and smooth, with a good maintenance history, then buy it.

See what the dealer is asking monday, KBB puts it under 13k and if the timing belt hasnt been done and its got some scratches and curb rash youll get it lower

 

well the one scratch it bad, the front right fender will probably need to be painted to fix it properly. Fair trade is 6900 and my A6 is in great shape and trade for it is 8105-8775. The only thing I have going against mine is the exhaust, other than that mine should be worth more.
