But those aredifferent engines, and different engines produce different sounds. you're gonna have to settle with our awesome gasysounds

 

You could probably do that to an S4 if you pulled a couple plug wires, drilled some holes in you exhaust, and stole one of those Folgers cans off a ricer! Listen to a S4 with the V8 and a catback if you want awesome, muscular sounds!

 

Get a V8 and throw some Millteks on it. I drive my car around just so I can listen to it. Then I need gas so I stop and get some (14 mpg). Then I drive it some more.

Yes. You can make our B5 S4s sound close to R32 in the first clip. You'd have to install some straight pipes, and perhaps even get rid of any cats. Obviously this has some complications because not running any cats you'll fail emissions. It'll also be very (yes, VERY) loud with straight pipes. You can also run cut-outs straight from the downpipes if you want SUPER loud.

It will never *truly* sound exactly like the R32 because the problem is actually the turbos. The more you free up the exhaust to make it sound more raspy, the louder you can hear the turbos, which deaden and mask some of the nice exhaust note. So it'll never sound as "pure" as the R32 does. That's the one problem with turbo cars. If you're into cars just for their exhaust note, naturally aspirated is usually preferred.

Dont get me wrong, the v8 S4 is nice, but it just doesnt do it for me...

I love the whine the 5 valve VAG engines make... mine kinda does it, but nowhere close to what those sound like!!
