Default Problems

Ok , I introduced my self along time ago ,so ill make it short and sweet !
My name is Mark I live in Miami Fl. and Ive owned my 2000 nagaro S4 for 21/2 years, I now Im lucky Cause I love the car I drive !(dont like to work on it though)

My car has roughly 77500 miles bought it with 68000+ miles
Replaced my timing belt waterpumps and some seals ($2500)as soon as I bought the car!
and upper control arms.

Then My turbo blew !! the car sat for 1 year While I gathered up the funds to Replace both turbos (new ko3's) stage 2 clutch and a Cv Boot ! Parts labor ($5500)

Then after recievingthe car back it was a little bit hesitant on the boost factor a little black smok around 3200rpms tillabout the 4000rpm mark! (fuel) so I thought. went out and bought octane booster twice Replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter ! (fuel filter was fun)

Now My car has a huge jolt in second and third gear while driving around 35-40 mph and stepping on the gas (full) it has horrible 2-3 pause before it decides to go again ! hmmmmm
So i went ahead and ordered (today) new aftermarket no name DV's and a samco TBB and the Awe Boost Gauge ,besides the Boost Gauge I am hoping that this will fix the problem If it doesnt I need the new stuff anyways! (its an S4)

I am not getting a CEL(good news) and I am un certain that the MAF is bad (dunno)
If I drive normally or accelerate after 3900rpms the car seems to be Fine ! (maybe im dumb)
I took it to my friend who is a turbo guy(not S4) and he said that he thinks its a boost solinoid?

I am hoping and know for a fact that you guys are good at what u do and have experiance with B.S. problems like this cause u guys fix cars over the internet (thats smart) lol

Any help would be greatly appreciated !!!!!

Also the vag-com on ebay that includes a disk and 2 caples for the laptop is it worth it ? ($7.99)

Thank you, Mark !

First, CHECK FOR ANY STORED CODES!

Sounds like you are running to rich, this can be a number of things, from a bat CTS, to MAF, or other sensors. You might even have a bad or wrong FPR.

eBay but check local garages/auto shops and dont think of Audi there are many makes out there that use the same gauge ( I like the digital type myself )
