Default pure enjoyment

Hi every one,,

Ive been searching through this board for the last 2 weeks learning and absorbing the knowledge of the audi community and have fallen in love with these cars.

Today I bought a 2001.5 black 6spd s4. My search was difficult and I think I found the right one, and i kid you not ,, on my first drive home ( i live on a super twistie road with alot of bi-cycleist) I past a few of them and I couldnt get the smile of my face for like 5 minutes, I have never been so happy with a car. Ive had alot of japanes turbo cars, 300zx , mr2 turbo, and a lexu ssc400 ( non turbo ) , and have always wanted a german made vehicle. The s4 i got is super clean, but it has higher mileage, 92k, while i feel the previous owner took care of it and kept it clean i always am shook by the idea that it might crap out on me ( which it wont ( knock knock ) ) but the previous owner bought a 3rd party warrenty with it and it has another 10k on it, So im hopin the turbos blow out in time of the warrenty , ( nah im just playing ) ,

but after driving it for a night I now realize why all you guys are on this board, its a awsome car that inspires you.

what i need to ask is ive got 92k on it and i know im gonna have to pay the timing belt outa my pocket, but the warrenyt is bumper to bumper for everything else. I really want just a little bit more power, not that it not enough already, but i got a couple chump friends, im not trying to impress them,, but yeah i am in a way. I wanna go with a chip but not without the proper steps.

ive read alot of the post like this so im not really asking advice ( although i am ) but i just wanted to introduce myself and say that driving has become a joy for me and I cant wait to get into the snow with this car.

thanks to all who contibute, you made my life alot eaisier

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum.[sm=icon_cheers.gif]

If you want the most bang for your buck, chip it...but that may wave the warrenty. Though, if you do decide to get a chip and everythign checks out, make sure to get an exhaust soon after since it will help it breath. Then look at a boost gauge. if your leaking boost, you will know almost immediately.

Oh, and we want pics!

Get the TB done. Replace the DV's with 710N's. Then chip it. If you want more HP from there, do a turbo back.

If you get APR's chip it is completely undetectable on a scan tool. If you have a boost gauge in the car that will give it away though.
