Default Question about coils and CHIP

So I have blown shocks. I was just going to get a shock and spring combo when I saw an FK coil system for 950 for the S4 B5. (only 200$ more then the combo). any feedback on these would be great.

Some of you know my ECU went a while back (im running stock now). I was told the chip in my ECU made it go bad. Does anyone know if these chips are warrantied? its an APR chip. if not does anyone know where I can get a decent GIAC flashloader setup? thanks

I have H&R springs and bilsten shocks and i like em alot but i would really like height adjustability. For a lower priced coilover i have heard great things about vogtlands. 2ks4 had em and reccomended them all over the place. Stasis street sports arent too expensive either.

Iv never heard of a chip making an ECU go bad, i guess if the chip is soldered on and solder makes a connection it shouldnt than that could fry it. But most ECU's now are reflashed not chipped, in which case nothing should go wrong. AWE sells giac programming i believe...

It is an APR flash. but my ECU went bad and an Audi tech of 35 years told me that the flash caused the ECU to go bad.

An unsuccessful flash attempt could fry the ECU. If the flash was successful initially, there's no way it caused the ECU to go bad over time.

Engine management systems are relatively new technology (mainstream in the mid to late 80's). Being a tech for 35 years doesn't make him more authoritative of such things.

Well stranger things do happen to these cars.....well all cars for that matter. I havent experienced a bad ecu on an s4 so far, but i have replaced bad ones on quite a few other cars.
I agree though....the chip didnt damage your ecu. Assuming that ecu worked initially after install.

They seem very very good I only took it on a 15 mile trip and now it sits for a week till they seat and get aligned. Good install once I figured out that 16 turns = 1''.
