Quick power question.
I was trying to do some research about AWD power loss from crank to the wheels.
So with a stock '06 S4
Horsepower 340 @ 7000 RPM
Torque (lb-ft) 302 @ 3500 RPM
Does anyone know what the % of power loss is to the wheels.
Thanks

It should dyno around 270-280 at the wheels, which is about 20%. Im not sure what the exact number is from audi but because different dynos read differently and some cars are freaks its really close enough to make a good estimate. I think its a bit more on the B5 because te B7 has a newer generation Torsen that is more efficient

generally, its around 20-25 % from the specs i've seen and dyno pulls from users on audiworld. You could take steps to lessen the power loss, like adding lightweight components such as lightweight flywheel, pulleys, and other things that are parasitic to the engine itself prior to the power going into the tranny.
