Quick stage 3 tuning question
Could i run a full stage 3 kit (fueling and everything found in the AWE kit) yet run stage 2 software? I am worried that the larger injectors and maf, along with different maf sensor would not work well with a giac stage 2 chip. It wouldnt be for long term eitherway, its just that the shop that the work is getting done is kinda far from home, and i dont have the stage 3 chip yet so i was hoping to drive it home with stage 2 tunning
You want to run the FULL AWE STGIII kit on K03 software? No you can't do it. What year S4 do you have?
Your best bet is to PURCHASE the K04 software, I don't even see why you would do that? You can run the K04's on the K03 chip, just with stock fuel & MAF.

i bought the whole damned thing, i just have to send out my ecu to awe, but my car may or may not be donw before i get it back so i was just wondering if i could drive it home atleast, so it doesnt stay at the dealership
i contacted mike at awe and he recommended against it. looks like ill have it back in time eitherway.

Yeah, probably not a good idea bro. Chances are you're gonna want to see how the new turbos feel and step on it a couple times (I know I would anyway). I'm pretty sure the Stage II software doesn't run nearly as much fuel as the Stage III, so there is a very good chance you'll be running lean (if at all): Lean A.F. + Mucho Boost = New Motor.
Even if thereis a chance it'd work.... why risk it???
