Default Radio upgrade

I have a b6 s4 with symphony radio I was looking to upgrade to an rnse radio the only thing holding me back is that you can get so much more with an aftermarket radio like Bluetooth, IPod connection with visible information on the screen. What I don't want to sacrifice is sound ,from my understanding the radio only provides a low signal to the bose amplifier and the amplifier divides all the frequency and power to speakers so in theory the sound between aftermarket and stock should be the same or better. Any input would be appreciated.

Correct I would say. Bose system takes the signal from the not-amplified line-out output, actual front speeker outputs are disabled from the player. If you are not looking for the original look for the car, go and buy a new high-tech 2-din player with the gps, tv, bluetooth, usb, memory card etc. There's plenty of adapters to connect Audi system to other ones.
